Welcome to My Pink Clipboard! I have secretly been blog stalking many of my favorite teachers around the country for years, and have finally given in to the pressure to create a blog of my own!

For the past several years I have been teaching second grade, which I love! I have also taught kindergarten and first grade, but I must say that I do prefer those independent second graders! This fall will begin my 17th year teaching, which is hard to believe! I have enjoyed our long summer break but am now looking forward to greeting those sweet, smiling faces in just a few weeks! I popped into my classroom for a few hours today to begin sorting through the boxes and piles from the end of last year. I am so thankful that I spent a great deal of time sorting and organizing during those last few teacher workdays (I don't always get the chance to do that!) because it sure made today much, much easier! I didn't take any pictures today but will have some to post soon!

Here in NC we have our tax-free weekend coming up, and I fully intend to make the most of it by purchasing those school supplies and cute classroom items I have had my eye on all summer. Anyone else planning to do the same? Enjoy your remaining days of summer!
